When lowercase text is useful

Lower case means small letters: a, b, c instead of A, B, C. A lowercase converter helps when a text was typed with Caps Lock on, when a heading or a list copied from a document is all in capitals, or when you need text in small letters only, for example for tags, e-mail addresses, web addresses or file names.

The converter changes every capital letter to a small one and leaves digits, punctuation, spaces and line breaks as they are. It works with every alphabet that has capital letters and follows the rules of each language: a Greek Σ at the end of a word becomes ς, and the Turkish I becomes ı. Keep in mind that names and the first words of sentences become small too: to keep a capital letter at the start of each sentence, use Sentence case. The text is converted in your browser and isn't sent anywhere.
