How the word finder works

Type up to 15 letters in “Your letters”, with ? or * for a blank tile, and the words appear as you type, grouped by length, with the points of each word. The points are the values of the letters, without the premium squares of the board; letters that a blank stands for are shown in brackets and score nothing. A word that uses seven or more tiles of your rack gets the bingo bonus: 50 points in Scrabble and 35 in Words With Friends. With “Starts with”, “Contains” and “Ends with” you find words that fit letters already on the board, which you don't need in your rack, and “Length” keeps words of one length. Under “Scoring” choose Scrabble or Words With Friends, and under “Sort” the highest score or A to Z.

The word list is English only, on every language version of the site: ENABLE, a public domain list, with the current two-letter words, very close to the North American tournament dictionary. So the finder helps with English Scrabble, Words With Friends, crosswords and anagrams, but not with games in other languages. Each word links to its meaning in Wiktionary. The dictionary is loaded once, and the search runs in your browser.
