What is PDF and what is DOC

DOC is the file format of Microsoft Word 97–2003. Newer versions of Word use DOCX, but DOC is still needed for old versions of Word and for some office systems and online forms that accept only .doc files. Converting a PDF to DOC turns a read-only document back into one you can edit in any version of Word.

The converter rebuilds the text, images, tables and layout of your PDF and saves them as a DOC file. Because DOC is an older format, some modern formatting may be simplified; if you don't specifically need DOC, converting PDF to DOCX keeps more of the layout. Scanned PDFs convert to images rather than editable text, and password-protected PDFs can't be converted. Files up to 25 MB and 150 pages are accepted and are deleted from our server within 15 minutes.
