Any Text Editor LLCThis policy applies to anytexteditor.com in all its language versions. It explains what information is processed when you visit the site and use its tools, why, for how long, and what choices you have.
Most of our tools, including the text editors, counters, case and format converters and generators, work entirely in your browser. The text you enter is processed on your own device and is not sent to our server.
Some tools remember your text or settings in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back. This data stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Some converters, such as those that turn office documents into PDF, PDF into Word or web pages into PDF, need our server. The file you choose is uploaded over an encrypted connection and converted automatically in an isolated environment. When you convert a web page by its address, our server opens that address to render it. Nobody looks at your files and we do not use them for any other purpose. The uploaded file and the converted result are deleted automatically no later than 15 minutes after the conversion.
The text you check is sent to our server and checked by a copy of LanguageTool that runs on that same server. The text is not stored and is not passed on to anyone.
The domain names you enter are looked up in the public registration databases of the domain registries. To avoid repeated lookups, the results are cached on our server for up to two days. Only the domain names are cached, nothing that identifies you.
These tools use the speech features built into your browser. Depending on your browser and the voice you choose, the browser may send the text, or the recording of your voice, to its maker (for example Google or Microsoft) for processing. This happens under the privacy policy of your browser's maker, and we never receive the recording.
To keep the server tools available for everyone, we count requests per IP address. These counters expire within an hour.
When you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your message and any files you attach. We use them only to handle your request and reply to you, and we keep them only as long as that requires.
Like every website, our web server automatically records technical data about each request: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page, the browser and operating system, and the response status. We use these logs only to run the site, fix errors and fend off attacks. They are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest.
All pages and uploads use encrypted HTTPS connections, server tools run in isolated environments, and processed files are deleted automatically. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
