URL Slug Generator

A slug is the part of a web address that names a page, like “best-coffee-shops-in-paris” in example.com/blog/best-coffee-shops-in-paris. A good slug is short, readable and made of lowercase words joined by hyphens, which helps both visitors and search engines understand what the page is about. Writing slugs by hand is tedious, especially for titles with accents, punctuation or other alphabets, and this generator does it for you instantly.

Type or paste one or more titles, one per line, and each one gets its slug. Accented letters become plain ones (é becomes e, ß becomes ss, and on the German version of this page ä, ö and ü become ae, oe and ue), Cyrillic, Greek, Japanese kana and Korean are written in Latin letters, and characters without a Latin spelling, such as Chinese characters, are kept. Choose hyphens or underscores, keep or remove capital letters and set a maximum length: the slug is then cut at the end of a word.
