Why convert Excel to PDF

An Excel workbook is made for calculations: anyone who opens it can change the numbers, and a wide table looks different in every program and on every phone. A PDF keeps the sheet exactly as it is, which is why price lists, reports, invoices, timetables and financial statements are usually sent as PDF. The reader doesn't need Excel to open it, and the numbers can't be changed by accident.

The conversion runs on our server with LibreOffice Calc. Every sheet of the workbook is converted using the page setup saved in the file: print areas, page orientation, scaling, headers and footers. Sheets that are too wide for one page are split across several pages, just as when you print them; to fit a sheet on one page, set the scaling in Excel before converting. XLSX, XLS and ODS files up to 25 MB are accepted and are deleted from our server within 15 minutes.
